Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop for October 2014
Today is the day for Papertrey's Blog Hop. We are to use non-traditional Christmas colors and start our holiday packaging. This is the color recipe I chose to use first.
The special added touches I did to this card was copics to shade the mug, glitter on the candy canes and sticks, pearls on the bow, clear sequins and pop up dots and twine.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Candy Cane Christmas, Bells & Boughs
Ink: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst, Blueberry Sky, Winter Wisteria and I did use Smokey Shadow for the sentiment.
Paper: Stampers Select, Winter Wisteria and snowflake paper was in my treasures.
Dies: Monthly Moments Journal Card 2, Tag Sale# 8, Candy Cane Christmas and Bells & Boughs.
I couldn't stop at one card, I had to make another.
On this card I made a pocket to add my tag with pearls, buttons, twine, pop-ups and pinking shears and felt.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Bells & Boughs
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf and Smokey Shadow
Paper: Hawaiian Shores Bitty Dot Pattern, Soft stone cardstock, New Leaf cardstock, Smokey Shadow cardstock and Melissa Francis count down to Christmas paper.
Dies: Holiday Double Cuts, Holly Jolly, Tag Sale # 7 and Bells & Boughs
I loved how the pocket turned out so I made one more card but in the tradition Christmas colors.
The special touches on this card is when I used the Holiday Double Cuts Die I put metallic green paper on the bottom layer and Holy Cow.... what a stunner, this looks so cool!!! It didn't show up very well in the pictures but this is a must do!! Also used felt, button, Christmas decoration, seam binding, lace, twine and a large pearl and pop-ups and pinking shears.
Supplies used:
Stamps: none
Ink: none
Papers: Stampers Select, Rustic Cream, Metallic green, My Mind's Eye - Joyous, Pink Paisley - Snow Village
Dies: Holiday Double Cuts, Basic Bookmark 2
Enjoy the Blog Hop!!
